Welcome to Lemberg! Here you will find information and guidelines about life at Lemberg. Be sure to:
For us, parent involvement is essential. Whether you are teaching a classroom about your heritage or native language, volunteering at the Center, or just stopping by for a visit, Lemberg depends on your collaboration to keep our curriculum rich and varied.
Things to Know About Lemberg
Lemberg operates on Brandeis University's snow policy. If Brandeis is closed, we are closed; if Brandeis has a delay, we have a delay. The Lemberg office will email parents as soon as possible when a decision has been made to have a delay or closing. The Brandeis University home page is updated with inclement weather alerts.
You must use your access cards to enter the building. The main door is kept locked at all times. More about access cards.
You must display a Lemberg parking pass on your dashboard at all times that you are parked on Old South Street. These passes are distributed at the beginning of each school year. Contact the office for a replacement pass or if vehicle information has changed.
Each day our wonderful teachers and TAs write up an activities sheet about what has happened in the classroom. This is posted next to the white board. Please be sure to stop there during pick up and see what your child has been up to! This is a resource for you to use in addition to speaking to the teachers about the day.
During the school year we post these activities online each day. During the summer, the activity sheets will be handwritten and kept in the classroom. If you wish to see an older activity sheet from the summer, please ask one of the Head Teachers.
For activities sheets from previous years, email us and ask for a specific date. We keep records for up to two years.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are held in October, January, February, May and June. Watch your inbox for emails from your child(ren)'s teachers for more information and to set up an appointment.
We like to celebrate each child's birthday on the day nearest the actual date. It is a special day and we want to acknowledge this. Our celebrations are low-key, and vary little for each child.
Lemberg Children's center keeps a running list of our very own TAs who are available to be hired as baby sitters! Parents are responsible for contacting the TA and setting up employment times and pay rates with them. No list is currently available online. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a list of babysitters.
Lemberg holds two or more bake sales each year to help raise funds for scholarships. You will hear about these in emails sent out to parents. Please read more on the bake sales page.
